Terms of Service

Last updated: August 13, 2026

These terms cover the xBound application, the product you sign into at app.xbound.ai. They are an agreement between you and xBound.ai ("xBound", "we", "us"), operated from Chicago, Illinois, United States. Plain English, same as the privacy policy.

Bespoke engagements, where we come in and build agents and intelligent GTM systems around how a business actually works, are governed by their own signed statement of work and not by this document. A Deployment Workshop for a team is the same. If the two ever disagree about a service you are paying for under a contract, the contract wins.

What the service does

xBound reads the work you already have in the tools you connect, sorts it by the action each item requires, and shows you one board. It can read mail and calendar from Google or Microsoft, the Slack and Discord channels you choose, and tasks from ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Notion, Todoist or Trello. It also keeps a task list of its own, so connecting a task tool is optional.

It writes back to one connected tool and one only, which is ClickUp. Every other task tool is read only: acting on one of its cards marks the item handled on your board and changes nothing in the tool it came from. It cannot send mail on your behalf. The exact permissions we request from each provider, and the reason for each one, are listed in the privacy policy.

Your account

  • You need an account to use the application, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your credentials to yourself.
  • You must be at least 18 and using this for business purposes.
  • You are responsible for having the right to connect the accounts you connect. If the mailbox or workspace belongs to an employer, make sure you are permitted to connect it.

What you may not do

  • Break the law with it, or use it to harm someone
  • Try to access another tenant's data, probe our systems for vulnerabilities without permission, or work around the limits of your plan
  • Resell, sublicense, or run the service on behalf of a third party without a written agreement with us
  • Use it to process categories of data it was not built for, such as protected health information or payment card data

Security research is welcome, but tell us first. Email hello@xbound.ai and we will work with you.

The tools you connect

The application works by connecting to services you already use: Google, Microsoft, Slack, Discord, ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Notion, Todoist and Trello. Those services are controlled by their providers, not by us. Their terms and their availability are their own. If a provider changes an API, revokes a token, or goes down, parts of the application will stop working until it is fixed, and that is not a failure of this agreement.

You can disconnect any provider at any time from inside the application. Doing so stops all further reading from that provider immediately.

The plan, payment, and cancellation

There is one subscription and it costs $19 a month. Everything the product does is in it. There is no free tier and there is nothing held back for a higher plan, so there is no upgrade to be sold and no feature to be unlocked later.

  • Fourteen days free, and we do not take a card to start. The trial is the whole product for fourteen days, not a reduced version of it. Because we never took a card, the trial cannot turn itself into a paid subscription. When it ends, access stops until you choose to subscribe. Nothing is charged by default and there is nothing to remember to cancel.
  • The subscription is billed through Stripe and renews monthly until you cancel. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Cancel anytime, from inside the application. You keep access through the month you have already paid for and we do not bill the next one. We do not pro-rate a partial month, because you are the one holding the timing.
  • If the product did not do what we said it would, write to us and we will make it right whatever the calendar says. We would rather do that than argue about a date.
  • We may change the price. If we change it for an account that is already subscribed, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel rather than accept it.

The founding price

The first 100 members to subscribe pay $19 a month for life. It is held by count rather than by date, so it does not expire on you and there is no countdown attached to it. After those 100, the list price is $29 a month.

Cancel or delete your account and the founding price goes with it. It is not reservable and it does not come back. The lock lives with an account that stays subscribed, so if the subscription lapses, is cancelled, or the account is deleted, resubscribing later is at whatever the price is then. The lock covers the product as it is sold here. If xBound ever sells a genuinely separate product, that is its own thing and this does not extend to it.

Teams

The same product and the same $19, charged per seat, with a minimum of five seats and invoiced annually rather than by card. A team arrangement is set out in a written order between us, and where that order and these terms disagree about a team account, the order wins.

A Deployment Workshop is a separate, optional, one-time service, bought under its own written order. It is not part of the subscription, and buying seats does not include it.

Your data stays yours

You own the content the application reads and produces for you. We claim no ownership of it. We use it to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not use it to train AI models, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics about how the product is used, the kind that cannot be traced back to you or your contacts, to understand and improve it.

The product changes

This is an actively built product. Features change, and some get removed. We will not delete your data as part of a routine change without telling you. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you notice and a way to get your data out.

Ending it

You can stop using the service and delete your account whenever you want. Ask us and we will delete your data, as described in the privacy policy.

We can suspend or close an account that is breaking these terms, not paying, or putting our systems or another customer at risk. Except in urgent cases we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is". We do a great deal to make it correct and we still cannot promise it is error free, uninterrupted, or that it will surface every item that matters to you. It is a tool that helps you triage work. It is not a system of record, and it is not a substitute for your own judgment about what needs doing.

To the fullest extent the law allows, xBound is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is true, they do not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will tell account holders directly when a change is material. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
